The Frame Place, frameworks & Carmen's Antiques will not be participating in 3rd Thursday Gallery Walk during the summer heat, Abrams Arts will announce each month. However, galleries will be open during their regularly scheduled hours, so go for a visit and refresh your outlook with all the wonderful original paintings you'll view.

These three artist's paintings began a two month show at the Clinton Library on June 15th, 07 and will show until August 18th. The paintings will tour public schools in Arkansas for the next nine months after their Clinton Library show.

Gene Hatfield is a 37-year retired university art instructor. He was tenured at the University of Central Arkansas. His wife taught French there. UCA has the largest single collection of paintings by Mr. Hatfield. However, he has works around the globe, and from North to South, East and West Coasts in the United States. He is also one of the first artists from Arkansas to be recognized by the Smithsonian Institute. Two of his sons have followed in their dad's steps and are leaving their tracks in the art world. Shiela Parsons is a world reknowned water colorist. She teaches classes and individuals. Her works adorn many of the finer homes and businesses one-half way around the globe. B.J. Abrams began her career as a primitive. Although she has now studied with many greats her primitive character still dominates her works and provides an individualistic view that is very rare. Her paintings adorn homes and businesses across the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
